(c) reasonably available methods of mitigating known or potential <br /> lead content in drinking water, <br /> (d) any steps the system is taking to mitigate lead content in drinking <br /> water, and <br /> (e) the necessity for seeking alternative water supplies, if any. <br /> II. DEFINITION OF LEAD FREE - For purposes of this section, the term <br /> "lead free" <br /> 1. when used with respect to solders and flux refers to solders and <br /> flux containing not more than 0.2 percent lead, and <br /> 2. when used with respect to pipes and pipe fittings refers to pipe <br /> and pipe fittings containing not more than 8.0 percent lead. <br /> Section 4: This Ordinance shall not be construed nor held to repeal Ordinance No. <br /> 1609-89 as to any offense committed against such former ordinance or as to any act <br /> done, any penalty, forfeiture or punishment so incurred, or any right accrued or claim <br /> arising under the former ordinance, or in any way whatever to affect any such offense <br /> or act so committed or so done, or any penalty, forfeiture or punishment so incurred or <br /> any right accrued or claim arising before this ordinance takes effect. <br /> Nothing contained in this section shall be construed as abating any action now pending <br /> under or by virtue of Ordinance No. 1885-92, or as discontinuing, abating, modifying <br /> or altering any penalty accrued or to accrue, or as affecting the liability of any person, <br /> firm or corporation, or as waiving any right of the City under Ordinance No. 1885-92 <br /> or provision thereof in force at the time of passage of this ordinance. <br /> Section 5: The City Council hereby declares that should any section, paragraph, <br /> sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, the Uniform Plumbing Code or the <br /> Uniform Plumbing Standards be declared for any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of <br /> the City Council that it would have passed all portis'of this ordinance, code and <br /> standards independent of the elimination herefro ''of any; such pt tion as may be <br /> declared invalid. <br /> . : !. . •t• <br /> Carl Gipson, Mayor Pro-Tem <br /> A T: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: 07/05/95 <br /> Valid: 07/07/95 <br /> Published: 07/14/95 <br /> Effective: 07/23/95 <br /> plumbing Code:jd:june:95 <br /> 6 <br />
