• <br /> • <br /> I:441 IETT <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2068-95 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the adoption of the 1994 Edition <br /> of the Uniform Building Code and the Uniform Building Code <br /> Standards, and repealing Ordinance No. 1881-92 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this ordinance serves to protect the <br /> public health and safety; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the absence of the regulations adopted <br /> by this ordinance would create a public harm and a public nuisance; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City is mandated by the State to <br /> implement and enforce the herein adopted code; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: This Ordinance shall be known as the "Everett Building Code." <br /> Section 2: There is hereby established in the City of Everett, the Building Division <br /> which shall be under the jurisdiction of the Building Official, designated by the Mayor. <br /> Section 3: The Uniform Building Code (hereinafter referred to as "UBC"), including <br /> Appendix Chapters 15, 12 (Div 11) 29, 31 and 33 and the Uniform Building Code <br /> Standards (hereinafter referred to as "UBCS"), published by the International <br /> Conference of Building Officials, as amended by WAC 51-30, being particularly the <br /> 1994 Editions thereof and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are <br /> hereinafter deleted, modified or amended are hereby adopted by reference and <br /> incorporated herein as fully as if set out at length herein. <br /> Section 4: Amendments made in the Uniform Building Code and the Uniform <br /> Building Code Standards follow: <br /> A.
