EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 2017-2018 On-Call Surveying Services <br /> 1.The Contractor agrees to furnish the service of a licensed professional land surveyor(PLS)and appropriate <br /> technical/survey field personnel to provide on-call survey services for the City as defined by the Task Assignment <br /> Scope of Services and recorded on the Formal Task Assignment Document(attached). <br /> 2.The survey crew shall work on an"as Required"basis only,as determined by the City's Project Manager or <br /> Construction Engineer.If the Contractor is not in a position to provide the survey crew at the time requested by the <br /> City,the Contractor may decline the request without prejudice. <br /> 3.Prior to mutual acceptance of a task assignment,the Contractor will prepare a written itemized cost estimate for <br /> the requested services. <br /> 4.The survey crew shall be supervised by a licensed PLS and shall coordinate with the Project Manager or <br /> Construction Engineer,as required,to ensure all required surveying in the task assignment is performed as requested <br /> by the City. <br /> 5.The survey party chief shall be responsible to keep all notes in a city-furnished book and shall record a day-to-day <br /> report of all survey activities. Said survey book shall be returned to the City Project Manager or Construction <br /> Engineer a the completion of the work. Survey field notes shall conform to the requirements of the most recent <br /> edition of the"Survey and CAD Standards for the City of Everett." <br /> 6.All survey drawings,cross sections and profiles shall be prepared in AutoCAD in accordance with the most recent <br /> edition of the"Survey and CAD Standards for the City of Everett." <br /> 7.The Surveyor shall schedule and meet with the City CAD Manager prior to beginning any survey work to establish <br /> control,required standards,electronic exchange standards and to pick up a field book.This meeting is required for <br /> each task assignment. <br /> Documents to be furnished by the Contractor <br /> 1.Completed(City-furnished)field book. <br /> 2. Survey deliverables will typically include: <br /> a.Original drawings on 22"x 34"reproducible media <br /> b.Electronic drawing files in Civil 3D or AutoCAD"dwg"format <br /> c.Point files including point#,northing,easting,elevation and description <br /> d.Land XML files <br /> e.Any digital terrain model file(eg:DTM,DEM,etc.)generated from the assigned work <br /> Page 12 <br /> (Form Approved by City Attorney's Office January 7,2010,updated November 21,2016) <br />
