Over time the college will acquire the College Plaza <br /> Shopping Center from Providence Everett Medical Center in exchange for the EvCC athletic field north and <br /> adjacent to the existing and expanding hospital. The College is now moving to revise its Master Plan for the <br /> expanded area, and to set the desired land use policy and zones on the respective locations. The request is to <br /> expand the master plan area east of Broadway and south of the existing campus west of North Broadway. <br /> The Comprehensive Plan designation would become 2.2 (Colleges/Universities) and the Institutional <br /> Overlay zone would be applied to the expansion area, subject to conditions found in the attached Ordinance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Approve the Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2021-94, as amended, amending the Comprehensive Plan <br /> map designation from 1.3 (Single Family) and 4.4 (Mixed Use Commercial—Multi Family) to 2.2 (College/ <br /> University) and adding the Institutional Overlay Zone to the proposed expansion area. <br />
