WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the zoning for each of the areas proposed to be <br /> rezoned implements the City's intent in adopting the Comprehensive Growth Management <br /> Plan, bears a substantial relation to the public health, safety and welfare, and promotes the <br /> best long term interests of the Everett community; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES <br /> ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That portion of the Zoning Map established by Ordinance No. 1671-89, <br /> identified herein as Area# 1, which is generally located north of 12th Street and west of <br /> West Marine View Drive and adjacent to the Snohomish River channel, which is generally <br /> shown on the attached map marked "Exhibit A", and which is specifically described as <br /> follows: <br /> All that portion of the Section 7, and the Northwest quarter of Section 8, and the North <br /> half of Section 18, Township 29 North, Range 5 East, W.M.; described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at the intersection of the South line of the Northwest quarter of said <br /> Section 18, and the East Pierhead Line of the Port Gardner Waterway; THENCE, <br /> Northerly and Easterly along said pierhead line to intersect the East line of the <br /> Northwest quarter of said Section 8; THENCE, South along said East line of said <br /> subdivision to intersect the South right of way line of the most Northerly <br /> Burlington Northern Railroad right of way abutting the Southerly bank of the <br /> Snohomish River; THENCE, Northwesterly along said Southerly Railroad right of <br /> way line to intersect the Government Meander Line on a bearing of North <br /> 86°39'35" West; THENCE, West along said meander line, and the Westerly <br /> projection thereof to intersect the Northerly right of way of Alverson Boulevard; <br /> THENCE, Westerly along said Northerly right of way line of said street, and <br /> continuing along the Northerly right of way of Norton Avenue (AKA W. Marine <br /> View Dr.), and the Southwesterly projection thereof to intersect the Government <br /> Meander Line in the Northeast quarter of said Section 7; THENCE, Southerly <br /> along said meander line to intersect the West right of way line of said Norton <br /> Avenue (A.K.A. W. Marine View Dr.) in the Southeast quarter of said Section 7; <br /> THENCE, angle Southerly to intersect the Easterly right of way line of the <br /> Burlinton Northern Railroad right of way at apoint where the Westerly projected <br /> North line of the Plat of Bayview Adddition to Everett, Replat of Lots 15 thru 19, <br /> Block 132, and Lots 24 thru 25, Block 133, and Lots 1 thru 7, Block 131, Plat of <br /> Grandview Addition, according to the plat thereof, recorded in Volume 11 of <br /> Plats, Page 107, records of Snohomish County, Washington; THENCE, Easterly <br /> along said Westerly projected North line of said plat to the Northwest corner <br /> thereof; THENCE, Southerly along said railroad right of way to intersect the <br /> South line of the Northeast quarter of said Section 18; THENCE, Westerly along <br /> said"South line of said subdivision, and continuing West along the South line line <br /> of the Northwest quarter of said Section 18 to intersect the East pierhead Line of <br /> the Port Gardner Waterway, and the POINT OF BEGINNING. <br /> which is currently not zoned, is hereby zoned M-S (Maritime Services). <br /> 2 <br />
