RESOLUTION NO. 4575 <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of <br /> Everett, Washington, accepting a donation of up <br /> to $25,000 from the Senior Center Advisory Board. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett operates the Everett Senior Center in partnership <br /> with the various advisory boards and clubs who participate in center activity; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Senior Center is developing a "Senior Computer Lab" <br /> for the purpose of offering classes and lab time to senior center patrons on the <br /> subject of computer technology and the Internet; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Senior Center has applied for and received funding from <br /> Microsoft and technical assistance from SnoNet for this project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Center Advisory Board wishes to contribute up to <br /> $25,000 (not to exceed total project costs) towards the Senior Computer Lab <br /> Project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the result will be to offer classes in the center's lab as an on-going <br /> element of the programming available to center patrons beginning this spring; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF EVERETT as follows: <br /> That the Everett City Council accepts the donation of up to $25,000 from the <br /> Senior Center Advisory Board for the purpose of helping to fund the Senior <br /> Computer Lab Project. <br /> Adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Everett, <br /> Washington, this 1st day of April, 1998. <br /> Councilmember Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and Approved this 1st day of April , 19,7. <br /> ...---‘40f17-figeegeoriPPC. <br /> Council President <br />
