A • <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4566 <br /> A RESOLUTION relating to drug-free zones. <br /> WHEREAS, the city's drug-free zone ordinance provides that maps or copies of maps <br /> produced or reproduced by the city, a school district, transit authority engineer, or public <br /> housing authority will, under proper authentication, be admissible if the governing body <br /> of the municipality, school district or transit authority has adopted a resolution or <br /> ordinance approving the map as the official location and record of the location and <br /> boundaries of the areas designated as drug-free zones; and <br /> WHEREAS, prosecution of drug-free zone violations will be more expedient and <br /> efficient if these maps are adopted and approved in the manner set forth by the drug-free <br /> zone ordinance; and <br /> WHEREAS, the maps attached hereto were prepared by the city and approved by the <br /> Everett School District as depicting the location and boundaries of the public schools <br /> located in the City of Everett; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1: <br /> The maps attached hereto designating the boundaries and locations of public schools in <br /> the city limits are hereby approved; <br /> Section 2: <br /> The maps approved by this resolution, or true copies thereof, may be filed with the city <br /> clerk and maintained as an official record of the city. <br /> Section 3: <br /> Nothing in this resolution shall be construed as precluding the prosecution from <br /> introducing or relying upon any other evidence or testimony to establish any element of <br /> an offense involving a drug-free zone.
