RESOLUTION NO. 4 5 3 6 <br /> A resolution for waiving the public bidding requirements and <br /> for the sole source purchase from United Pipe Supply, Inc. for <br /> a Centrally Controlled Irrigation Monitoring system. <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Parks and Recreation Department requires a central irrigation control <br /> system compatible with the existing irrigation equipment in various parks and the two Park <br /> Weather Stations located at Legion and W. E. Hall Golf Courses; and <br /> WHEREAS, United Pipe Supply of Lynnwood is the regional distributor of the Rainbird <br /> Maxicom2 system; and <br /> WHEREAS, Rainbird Manufacturing is the manufacturer of the Maxicom2 Central Irrigation <br /> Control System, the only system that meets the Parks Department operational needs because of <br /> the need for compatibility to existing equipment; and <br /> WHEREAS, funds are available in the Parks Dept. Fund 101. Program 52 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that the purchase of the Rainbird Maxicom2 System is clearly and legitimately <br /> limited to a single source for purposes of compatible equipment, and the Purchasing Division is <br /> Authorized to purchase this phase of the central irrigation control system and future phases from <br /> United Pipe Supply. <br /> Council person Introducing Resolution <br /> passed and approved this 2 4th day of December, 1997. <br /> .r /-2 <br /> Council President <br />
