CITY OF EVERETT RESOLUTION NO. 4/415IO A RESOLUTION establishing Greens Fees for the City of Everett Municipal Golf Courses, Legion Memorial and Walter E. Hall for the years 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001. WHEREAS,there is a periodic need to increase existing Golf Course Greens Fees to provide necessary funds for the continuation of Golf Course capital improvement projects and to provide additional revenues to offset the increasing costs of maintenance and operation; and WHEREAS,the Everett City Council adopted the policy of the City that the Golf Courses be self supporting within their fee structures; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council wishes to implement the course improvements suggested in the Conceptual Master Plans, adopted May 1, 1996, for Legion Memorial and Walter E. Hall Golf Courses; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council desires to establish a five-year rate structure that provides a consistent, gradual rate increase schedule designed to provide sufficient income to finance the course improvement plans; and WHEREAS, on March 11, 1997, the Board of Park Commissioners voted to recommend the implementation of the rate increase; and WHEREAS, on March 11, 1997,the Board of Park Commissioners voted to review annually Golf Course Greens Fees to determine whether approved fees for future years will provide sufficient income to finance golf course operating and capital needs; and WHEREAS, on April 23, 1997, the City Council approved a construction contract for the remodel of the Legion Golf Course in the amount of$4,708,360; and WHEREAS, substantial course improvements are planned for Walter E. Hall Golf Course in the year 2000; and WHEREAS, further rate increases are necessary to pay for the increased cost of the course remodels; and WHEREAS, the Junior Golf Program should be continued; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That the Golf Course Greens Fees for Legion Memorial and Walter E. Hall Golf Courses for the years 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001 shall be as follows:
