This <br />person shall be capable of identifying hazards <br />relating to grounding and shall have the authority <br />to make any corrections such that each item on a <br />given job site is adequately grounded. <br />IV Procedures: <br />All equipment to be used on the construction project <br />shall be tested, identified and coded pursuant to the <br />following procedure: A test for continuous circuitry <br />shall be performed on all cord sets, receptacles which <br />are not part of the permanent wiring of the building or <br />structure, and plug -connected equipment required to be <br />grounded. The aforementioned tests shall be recorded on <br />Lhe attached schedule and retained on each job site. <br />Chapter 155-435 (1) (b) allows portable tools protected <br />by a system of double insulation not to be grounded. <br />These tools shall be distinctively marked pursuant to <br />this code. <br />A) All equipment and cord sets shall be tested before <br />the first use, for grounding and continuity of the <br />circuitry. A record of such test shall be <br />maintained on the construction site. <br />B) Equipment returned to service following repairs <br />shall be tested for continuity prior to being <br />returned to service, and the results of that test <br />shall be recorded and maintained on the job site. <br />C) All equipment shall be visually inspected before <br />each day's use for external defects, including <br />deformed or missing pins, insulation damage, and <br />for indication of possible internal damage. All <br />equipment found to be in need of repair may not be <br />used until repaired, retested, and the results of <br />the test recorded. <br />- 7 - <br />
