This granular layer will provide
1 uniformity of support and a capillary moisture break. We further recommend that a plastic
vapor barrier be placed between the base course and the bottom of the concrete. The vapor
= barrier may be set in a thin sand layer immediately below the concrete for erse of
a construction and prevention of tearing the plastic.
CLOSURE
lift 3
The recommendations presented in this report are provided to the Boeing Company for
design purposes and are based on soil conditions disclosed by field observations and the soil
exploration test pits. Subsurface information presented herein does not constitute a direct or
implied warranty that the soil conditions between test pit locations can be directly
interpolated or extrapolated or that subsurface conditions and soil variations different from
those disclosed by the borings will not be revealed. The recommendations outlined in ;his
0 h report are based on the assumption that the plan location and development details of the
project are consistent with that shown on Plate I and the description provided in this report.
If, during construction, subsurface conditions different from those disclosed by the borings
f( are observed, we should be advised at once so we can review these conditions and, if
t\ _ necessary, reconsider our design recommendations.
