Changes required by the
City of Everett to maintain basin balance required that the east ballfields be
drained to the system below the tennis courts, as shown on the attached Site Plan.
The design for the relocation of the connection was not completed by HDA when the
ballfields were taken out of the contract. All of the SC drawings are otherwise
correct as they were issued for construction.
Volume calculations from HDA per the attached transmittal indicate that the detention
system for all four ballfields is to be located benieth the tennis courts and is
12,523 cubic feet in volume. This system, as sized for all four ballfields plus the
tennis courts plus some roadway surfaces is only one-fourth as large as the 49,613
cubic feet system below the parking which is already in the GLY contract.
Also in contract at this time, the tennis court detention system has 92 lineal feet
of 8 foot dia. concrete pipe. The additional two ballfields per the present scope
requires an estimate 101 lineal feet of 8 foot pipe, or, an additional 9 lineal
feet of 8 foot pipe. This represents an estimate increase in the expense of $3,000,
with no increase required to the capital budget, per Jim Hughes.
At this time the City has been asked to re -run these new requirements through its
' computer model program, so the above is still subject to validation by the "black
NJ„4 box". In any event, the increased expense promise to be small if not zero.
Brian Ritchhart
T-6141
Attachments: Master Site Plan showing basin divisions
Transmittal from HDA dated 12-5-90
00 WN 1090 REV. 2/79
J55-0l1
