DAMES & MOORE .i MOUF SJO ALLI At:TEI VAATNT RSHIP
500 MARKET PLACE TOWER, 2025 FIRST AVENUC, SEATTLE. WASHINGTON 98121
(206) 72&0744
The Boeing Company
P.O. Box 3707, M/S OH-26
Seattle, Washington 98124
Attention: Mr. Max Pahmeier
Mr. Bob Carl
Gentlemen:
July 25, 1989
Report of Preliminary Geotechnical Investigation
Proposed Recreation Facility
Boeing Everett Plant
Everett. Washington
INTRODUCTION
This report presents the results of our Preliminary Geotechnical Investigation at the site
of a proposed recreational facility at the Boeing Everett Plant. Our investigation is
subsequent to a previous investigation summarized in our report dated January 6, 1989 which
assessed subsurface conditions at a proposed site immediately southeast of the existing Boeing
facility. The revised location investigated in this report is situated to the far north of the
t Boeing facility west of Seaview Boulevard.
The site conditions at the revised location consist of generally level terrain with a dense
vegetation cover of trees and shrubs. Two unsealed tracks traverse the site. Water has
1 ponded in the access track west of GI and is estimated to be a maximum of 2 feet deep over
a length of 200 feet and a width of 15 feet. The site slopes gently to the north with a net fall
of approximately 50 feet over a distance of 1.500 feet. The proposed facility encompasses
an area 1,500 feet by 400 feet.
J
We understand that the facility will comprise a gymnasium, consisting of a one or two
story structure with a soil supported floor slab, car park, tennis courts and baseball fields.
Location of the proposed facility is shown on Plate I
JFFU1 ,0;UXcuy.
