Cressell and field checks, <br /> � Mr. Cressell was advised that his request was not in accordance <br /> with the present policy of use and imPreving the City right- <br /> of-way and the City Code. He was also advised that if he <br /> wished, he could submit an application for a permit to carry <br /> out his plans and it would be processed. Mr. Cresaell <br /> elected to proceed with the request and a plan and application <br /> , was submitted on April 17, 1974. <br /> ' After the application was reviewed by the City depari7nents, <br /> Dtr. Cressell was advise3 durinq the week of April 29 that no <br /> �� objections had been expres�ed, but that the request was not <br /> in uccordance �rith the present City policy and Code, and the <br /> I staff recommendations were that the application not be <br /> approved as submitted. Mr. Cressell was also advased that <br /> if he desired the a�plication could be suk�mitted to the City <br /> Council for ti�eir consideration. At this time Mr. Cressell <br /> � wantad to reconsider the plan and indicatsd tiiat he would <br /> , let the City knrna mhat action he would like to ialce. <br /> On May 9. 1974, tdr. Cressell advised the City that he would <br /> like the application to be submitted to the City Council for <br /> i, consideration of granting a variance to the Cii:y Cofle. <br /> i With the present procedure for sub�itting iteias for the <br /> Council Agenda, Mr. Cressell's application was missed when <br /> I nreparing agenda iteme for the Council Meeting of May 22 , 197�5. <br /> I On May 16, Mr. Cressell was advised that his request was <br /> , being scheduled for the Council Agenda for Ma}- 29. At this <br /> I tune he was concerned with the timing. The procedure of <br /> ', sitting up the Council's agenda was explafned.to him. It <br /> was also Pointed out to hir� that a citizen could submit an <br /> i item for the Council's consideration at the end of the <br /> i Council's 3cheduled aqenda during their reqular meeting. <br /> b1r. Cresael7. said he would consider this opportunity and <br /> � would let the City know. <br /> On May 20, 19'74 , Mr. Cressell called and indicated that <br /> I =ather than wait for the Council Meetinq of ttay 29, he would <br /> � like to submit the request to Council during their meeting <br /> of May 22.
