t0 i� ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1872-92 entitled "Animal Shelter Construction" Fund No. 367, Program 920, authorizing the design and construction of a new animal shelter. WHEREAS the City Council has recognized the need for a new animal shelter within the City of Everett; and WHEREAS the City Council directed Administration to proceed with planning and site development for the Animal Shelter on City owned property; and WHEREAS Ordinance No. 1872-92 was established to fund the construction of the Animal Shelter; and WHEREAS the final costs for the animal shelter have exceeded the original appropriation; NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund No. 367, Program 920, entitled "Animal Shelter Construction" to accumulate the design and construction costs required to construct a new animal shelter. Section 2: Authorization is hereby granted to the Facilities/Property Management Director under the administration of .the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all necessary steps to accc,:nl•Qsh the actions authorized by this Ordinance. Section 3: Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1872-92 which reads as follows: The estimated cost of the project authorized is $1,000,000 including all costs related to design, construction, equipment and furnishings, contract administration and their associated costs. be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: The estimated cost of the projects $1,579,115 including costs related to design, construction, equipment and contract administration.
