The <br />bids are as follows: <br />ITSK Corporation <br />$ 977,000 <br />Columbia Pacific Contractors <br />1,002,000 <br />Island Construction <br />1,024,000 <br />Heritage Construction <br />1,039,000 <br />Hartford Contracting <br />1,058.000 <br />Sunset Pacific General Contractor <br />1,137,000 <br />Staff recommended awarding the contract to USK Corporation, the lowest and <br />most responsive bidder. They recommended that Alternate #I (reduction in <br />landscaping) and Alternate 94 (delete finishes in multi -purpose room) be accepted <br />for a revised bid total of $965,870 plus Washington State Sales Tax. <br />Moved by Councilmember Pope, seconded by Councilmember Campbell that <br />the contract for the Everett Animal Shelter be awarded to the lowest and <br />most responsive bidder, USK Corporation, Bellevue, based upon their <br />proposal and unit bid of unit prices extended for the estimated total of <br />5965,870 plus Washington State Sales Tax as received at the bid opening held <br />at 2:00 p.m., July 25, 1996. <br />Councilmember Pope reported that the Budget and Finance Committee <br />recommends approval. <br />Roll was called with all councilmembers voting yes except Councilmember <br />Hansen who was excused. <br />Motion carried. <br />446 <br />
