2 SWPPP ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
Design of the SWPPP Plan was completed in conformance with Volume II of the
Drainage Manual. Compliance with the 12 elements is summarized below.
Element 1: Preserve Vegetation / Mark Clearing Limits: Clearing limits have been
delineated on sheet ER-01 of the construction plans. The clearing limits extend only
to those areas that will be disturbed during construction of the subject project. The
specific BMPs for marking the clearing limits that will be applied for this project
include:
• High Visibility Plastic Fence (BMP C103)
Element 2: Establish Construction Access: The existing paved driveway will be
utilized for a construction entrance. Due to the scope of the project, street sweeping
is proposed to reduce/eliminate track-out from the site. If track-out becomes an
issue, BMPS such as Wheel Wash (BMP C1O6) or shaker plates will be implemented.
See sheet ER-01 of the construction plans for location. A detail is also attached on
sheet ER-02 of the construction plans. The specific BMPs related to establishing
construction access that will be used on this project include:
• Wheel Wash (BMP C1O6)
Element 3: Control Flow Rates: Due to the scope of the project, minimal changes to
flow rates are expected. Temporary and permanent flow control measures are not
proposed as part of this project.
Element 4: Install Sediment Controls: Sediment control will be provided using Silt
Fence (BMP C233) and Straw Wattles (BMP C235). The specific BMPs for sediment
control that shall be used on this project include:
• Silt Fence (BMP C233)
October 2013 2-1 LDC Job No. 13-118
