<br /> i„oc 44 in the Preserve at Forest Park developmeot. We previously presented a summa W�
<br /> for Lot 44 dated NOvember 8, 1994. We understand that since that time, minor gr $
<br /> �ompleted around the hnuse.
<br /> As documented iu our November 1994 letter, we completed daily site visirs during cl�e
<br /> primary p,rading activities and two visiu iu October 7994 to evaluate t�e house foundation. The
<br /> results of our monitoring at that time indicated that earrhwork acti•✓ities were completed in
<br /> substantial compliance with our recommendations and the projecc pia��s and specifi:ations.
<br /> RECENT OBSERVATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS
<br /> At your request,we completed a final site visit on February 8, 19�6 to evaluate the surficia]
<br /> grading around[he house. Ofp;uticular umcern is the fili slope constructefl on the west property
<br /> boundary. In this aze�1, a relatively level azea was consuv�ted Just below rhe hacicyard deck by
<br /> placing a wedge of fill ove: the existing native slope. 11ie deck is supported on cuacrete piers
<br /> which aze located approximately 4 to 6 feet east of the crest of tne fill slope. It appeazs that tha
<br /> fill thickness ranges from about 4 to 8 feet at iu m��um height (at the crest of the slope). This
<br /> results in an over-ste,�pened finished slope face with inclinationc in some areas as steeP as 1H:1V
<br /> (horiwntal to vertical). We observed some surtic�al s�oughing of the slope face after a period
<br /> of heavy rainfall in soine of the steeper ueas•
