U1 ((2) 4
I S "
Marvin C. Haglund, L 'CE01- l-E U"ui"iy
FR,JRoy Van Der iVleersche, Water Supt. &)Craig Thompson, Sewer Supt.
DATE' June 3, 1977
e hf u
SUBJECT PROPOSED DECLARATION OF NON- CITY OF EVERETT. EVERETT. WASHINGTON {
SIGNIFICANCE - Construction of a dental INA42
office building
WATER:
Our water records indicate there is an 8" cast iron water main with 70 p. s. i.
pressure on the east side of Colby Avenue to provide water to this property.
It would, however, require the property owner to acquire an easement to yln
install a separate water service line.
The construction of the building will not have a significant impact on the orate
system. The Water Department should have no objection to the proposal.
SEWERS AND DRAINAGE:
The area is served by combined sewers and the nearest public severs are
approximately 30' away in 41st Street. I believe that they are proposing to
tie their sewers into the private line which serves McDonald's. I'm not sure
how this meets with our prohibition against double side sewer connections.
This case is a little different, in that the line serving McDonald's is an 8" with
a manhole at the end and I understand that Dr. Brust owns it.
There should be no significant impact on the public sewers providing storm
water detention is included in the design.
I
1977 U
_....CITY t - . _ %ETT
Engineering Dept.
