The proposed addition' s N.E. corner <br /> would come tiaithin 8 ' 8" of the back property line (bac}: liiie <br /> is radius) , and 8 ' 0" from the E. line . The existing h�use <br /> was built with a 10 ' 0" rear set-back, and since then , cit:y <br /> set-backs have changed. Other residences in the immediace <br /> vicinity have similar set-backs due to the lack of depth <br /> in the properties. <br /> Acceptance of this request would enable us to park <br /> both our vehicles off the street , whereas at present , one <br /> car must be parked on 45th Street. <br /> {�'e are a retired couple and realize that in time it r <br /> may become increasingly more difficult to gain entryhavin r <br /> our home walking up the slope from the road. Also , <br /> S <br /> an attached garage �aould provide us with greater personal <br /> safety and security. <br /> One cannot help but see the advantages to the communi.ty <br />' and neighbors by having fewer cars parked on the road. This <br /> iaould surely reduce the number of potential traffic accidents ; <br /> driver visibility approaching Colby Avenue intersection via <br /> 45th Street would be greatly enhanced. <br />' Approval of this variance wou13 not be granting us a <br /> special priviledge nor cause inconsistencies with other <br /> properties in the vicinity in which we live .
