Please respond to, or modify, the plans to satisfy the following comments. 1. The 30 PCF equivalent fluid pressure of the soil seems low, especially � since the design of the side walls appears to be a case for pass�ve earth pressure. 2. The topu and profille drawir�gs indicate as much as 12 feet of overburden, which is considerably more than the 5 feet assumed in the calculations. 3. A note should be added stating that walls should not be backfilled prior � to hollowcore placement. j 4. 8ackfill should be detailed as free draining. � I 5. Perimeter drain should be added to plans. 6. Structural notes should call for special inspection, by Soils Engineer, of grading, excavating and fi.11ing per Section 306 of Uniform Building Code. 7. Geometry of floor drain appears to disagree with what is shown on the ' civil drawings. The drain, as detailed, would be incapable of supporting the axial load in the slab. 8. Construction joints and water stops need to be shown on Details 1, 4, 5 and 8. 9. Drawing S-16 requires a stamp.
