,
,
7
I
I
MEIIORANDUI4
I
T0: Gordon With er
FROM: Dan Mathia//- ,
DATE: January 26, 1990 I
SUBJECT: Fire Flow Analysis at 47th & Grand I

Sam Preston ent a memo to Jstine Osemene, which indicated that the
 II
required fire flow wasn't available for the multi-family development at , II
47th & Grand. I performed a computar simulation for comparison. i
The computer analysis indicai:ed that the required fire flow can be provided j '
with a residual pressure of 30 p.s.i . , which is in excess of Lhe 20 p.s.i .
minimum. The fact that the Fire Department test showed an inadequate fire I
flow condition is probably due to the fact that the water supply will be
improved 'oy the Developer in tfie future (looping between two existin9 dead
end mains) . This futu'e condition was assumed in the computer analysis.
In conclusion, this site will have an adequate fire flow condition when the
project is completed.
a,,.,,,..,a

'
,
 '
