Structural fill shall contain no more than 20°/a by weight finer than the No. 200 sieve based on the
fraction of the material passing No. 4 sieve.
3.5 Geoqrid Mesh: shall be those as specified on the drawing or approved equal.
4. INSTALL4TION
4.1 Keyway trench for the block wall shall be excavated down to firm, undisturbed, native soils or structural fill
capable of rendering an allowable bearing pressure of at least 3,000 psf. The block wall foundation
bearing soils shall be verified by a geotechnical engineer pri to wall construction. Exposed soils at
bottom of keyway trench shall be compacted to a non-yieldirig state with a vibratory compactor.
4.2 Bottom of keyway trench shall be sioped to direct water into the drain pipe. Drain pipe shall have
sucient slope (0.5% minimum) to generate flow by gravity.
