The Uniform Building Code provides that all permits <br />expire by limitation if the work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned at any time <br />after work is commenced for a period of 180 days. IFyou wish to prevent the permits from <br />expiring without doc4mentation of completion, you may: <br />1) Request inspections of work [hat has occurred, to document continuing progress. <br />or 2) Request final inspections of the work that is completed, <br />or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension. <br />Please respond within 10 days.
