April 24, 2003 <br />Public Works of Everett, Washington <br />Engineering / Public Service Dept. <br />3200 Cedar St. <br />Everett, Washington 98201 <br />Subject: Project: Johnson <br />Job Address: 1709 - 38th Street <br />Plan Check No: CO302-026 <br />Dear Sirs, <br />In response to your letter dated March 17, 2003 concerning my application for a <br />construction permit, the department asked for some corrections or revisions of my plans. I <br />am providing the Building Division with 2 complete new sets of drawings, reflecting the <br />corrections requested. <br />Following are the requests from the department and my response to the requests. <br />1. Provide detail showing how roof structure outside of the dining room and kitchen of the <br />main floor is supported. <br />(1) Changed roof configuration as indicated on page 5 <br />v2. Provide detail of one -hour fire resistive construction between dwelling units. Specify <br />approved assembly with at least 50 STC ( sound transmission coefficient) <br />(1) Added Detail 3, page 9 and revised note on Building Section `A" page 7 <br />3. The area called out as a carport is, by definition, a garage. Provide 5/8" type "X" GWB <br />on wall between the garage and house or provide full height wall between the garage <br />and stairs to the basement. <br />(1) Added full height wall between garage and stairs. Per note (12) page 2 <br />4. The garage, as drawn, does not meet the prescriptive requirements for lateral bracing. <br />(1) See revised framing at ends of garage. Pages 2 and 5 <br />5. Provide cross-section of exterior stairs (concrete and wood). <br />(1) Stair sections added for concrete and wood stairs. See sections (1) and (2) <br />page 9 <br />
