• GES, Inc. <br /> 1. All distances are teped end all elevations were shot with a brunton compass. All horizontal aud <br /> vertical dimensions should be verified in the field and adjusted as required. <br /> 2. All roof and foundadon drain lines&om the back of the Kaas Residence shall be tigl►tlined down to the <br /> bottom of ihe ravine located along the north side of the property. Pipe should be anchored to the slape <br /> as necessary to prolubit movement of drainpipe caused by passage of water through the pipe. This may <br /> be accomplished by a "U"shaped#4 rebar driven a minimum 18"into tl►e slope around the pipe. <br /> 3. Loose and unstable materials shall be removed to a ma�dmum 1H:1V slope or to natural undisturbed <br /> soil along sideslopes prior to placing rock fill. <br /> 4. The base of the rock 514, base rock, st�all be keyed into nstural, undisturbed soil conSrmed by GES, <br /> Inc. Base rock shall consist ofminimum 2 to 3 man rock placed at a maximum 1H:1V batter at the face. <br /> Base rock shall be a minimum 10 ft. tluck. Rock fill shall grade gradually to heavy loose riprap chinked <br /> with quarry spalls as necessary to fill voids bigger than 4". A minimum 6"layer of quarry spalls shall be <br /> placed over a strong, durable Slter fabric along the base af the rock fill as a drainage layer for seepage. <br /> 5. Ma�dmum inclivation of the rock fill slope shall not exceed 1.SH:1V. Height of the base key rock <br /> shall be determined in the field by the final con6guration of the remediated slope. <br /> 6. Rock fill used to re-establish slide area shall meet either the requirement for Light Loase to Heavy <br /> ' Loase Riprap in accordance with the 1994 WSDOT Standard Specifrcationr sectron 9-13.1(2), or Quarry <br /> � Spal/s in accordance with sectron 9-13.6. Rock fill shall be placed in layers no more than 1.5 ft. in <br /> � thickness. Rock fill shall be placed and compacted so that it is a dght, cohesive unit. <br /> 7. Rock fili side siopes shall be contoured as necessary in the field to meet e�dstiug contours. <br /> 8. In place materials between the top of the slide scarp and the back of the residence s6ould be <br /> monitored during construction for indications of instability or movement. Any indications of movement, <br /> tensi�n cracking or instability should be reported to GfiS, Inc immediately so that they may be observed <br /> and any necessary recommendations made to restabilize the situation. <br /> 9.
