February 19, 1970
Mr. Mike Burke
P. 0. Box 4223
Everett, Washington 98201
Dear Mr. Burke:
the Ever2re rn
CITY OF
everec'L-
CITY HALL . 259.00O5
EVERETT. WASHINGTON
902O1
INSPECTION DEPARTMENT
I was called by R. J. O'Conner to make an Electrical Inspection
at 4925 27th Avenue West Everett, on wiring in the Recreation
Room. Re'ezprai'ned o me that you had sold the home to him
with the understanding among other things that walls would be
removed in the Recreation Room. We found the wiring had been
cut and folded back inside the wall and sealed over. Open
live conductors were left exposed to short out any conductive
materials which may come in contact with the wire ends. It was
also noted that none of the lights or heaters would operate.
I made an additional inspection and found some one has added
additional service equipment without calling for inspections
or obtaining a permit. It is very apparent to me that all
these violations were made with the belief that an inspector
would never be aware of the work having been done.
If we have not been notified who the Electrical Contractor was
that put in the service side panel and additional wirings and
had the wiring connected in the Recreation Room, it will be
necessary for us to take legal action against you as the general
Contractor.
If we do not hear from you within 15 days from this date our
City.Attorney will contact you.
We hope you will give this your immediate attention.
Yours truly
L. J. Dougherty
Electrical Inspector
LJD:eb
