Utilizing a large dozer (D6), the
contractor spread recently placed/stockpiled imported soils (bluish gray SILT to brownish gray silly SAND with few gravels) into an
approximately.5' lift. The contractor noted that as the material continued to appear wet, lie would aerate the soil, via windrows, to expedite
drying processes. AESI noted that a Pacific Topsoils truck was being utilized to place soil from a large stockpile near the north central margins
of the proposed disposal area. The contractor noted that the material observed was front trucking operations prior to the start of the project, but
represented the same material that was observed coming from Scattic. AESI observed the material to generally consist of bluish gray SILT and
brownish gray silty SAND with trace to few gravels. Based off current soil conditions, the contractor expels to complete compaction processes
on the recently placed fill soil tomorrow (7/20/11) and requests AESI return to complete compaction testing.
