Utilizing a large dozer'D6), the contractor spread recently stockpiled imporred soils <br />from the I lighway 9 widening site (bluish gray SILT to brownish gray silty SAND with few gravels) into an approximately .5-l' loose lift. <br />During time of visit no compaction processes were observed. The contractor noted that the other crew member, whom typically ran to roller, was <br />not here today "nd requests AESI return in a few days to complete testing of the observed fill. Further, the contractor noted that he would <br />continue stockpiling and aerating import material from the Mercer Island site as it continual to appear wet. The contractor's supaintendent, <br />Thomas, noted that they would begin hauling crushed rock for use in the specified biotic layer in the coming weeks.
