Utilizing a large dozer (1)6), the contractor spread recently stockpiled import soils from
a construction site in Mercer Island mid compacted the material in a series of four passes via large vibratory roller. The compacted fill soil was
probed, with the full weight of the observer on a .5" diameter steel T-probe, :red proved firm/uuyiclding with average penetrations of 1-2". AESI
conducted a series of density tests to confirm the specified minimum compaction of tl:c proposed impermeable cap (95% ASTM 1557) as
currently exposed near the NE corner. The contractor was notified of all density results listed below. Additionally, AESI noted that the
contractor was continuing to spread material from an existing slo_kpile located near monitoring well MW-102A. 'rhe stockpiled material (brown
silty SAND with few gravels) was placed/spread in on area inunediately adjacent. The contractor noted that the observed material %vas to be
placed above the impermeable cap layer to a total depth of 1.5'. No compaction of this material was noted at time of visit.
