Utilizing a large dozer, the contractor placed a .5' loose lift of recently imported fill
from a construction site in Ballard. The fill soil (brown to omngish brown silty SAND with few gravel) was spread into a thin lift topliR and will
likely be compacted later today. Additionally, AESI noted that the contractor had completed compacting an approximately 8" layer of 2" minus
crushed recycle near the west central margins of the site. Using o large vibratory roller, the material was compacted in a series of passes and
proved unyielding under the wheel weight of trucWlmiler assemblies. Further, the compacted material was'r-probed and found to be finn with
average penetrations not exceeding 2". As noted prior by the. contractor, this material will be used to construct a series access roads. See figure
I for specific task location.
Brahma!e
No further work was completed on this task at time of visit.
COPIES TO: Dislrihwiou FIELD REP.: Jon D.
