It was recommended that the existing <br />driveway and parY.ing area be extended by 5 feet in order to accom- <br />udate the additional parking. Any further landscaping involving <br />the curUs was considered optional. Analysis of the proposal by <br />Dr. Dennis Gabelman resulted in a determination of a 14 foot right <br />of way between the edge of the sidewalk and the property line. Jt <br />�vas therefore determined that 2 of the proposed parking places <br />would Ae on city right of way. In compliance with the ordinance, <br />Mr. Gabelman's office recommended that the access to the parking <br />area be narrowed by extending the curbs on either side with appro- <br />priate landscaping. This would create an additional 2 parking <br />places beyond what had already been recommended by Mr. Gregoire's <br />office. <br />i feel that the large expense involved in the additional landscaping <br />and the fact `hat I am creating 2 additienal parking nlaces beyond <br />what had been required by Nr. Gregoire's offi.ce should allow for <br />a waver of the rental requirement.
