Tlie StormFilter works by passing stormwater through the media-filled <br /> cartridges, which trap particulates and adsorb pollutants such as dissolved metals, nutrients, <br /> and hydrocarbons. <br /> The design of the StormFilter assumes that system maintenance will t.� performed at regular <br /> intervals. Stormwater Management Inc. can be contracted to perform the maintenance or <br /> can work directly witli owners who wisli to perform their own maintenance. The estimated <br /> cost for contracting maintenance with SMI is attacfied.
