Our Utilities Department poiicy requires that the owner(or tenant authorized in writing by the owner; upgrade a single check detector to a double check detector assembly as part of the constructiori project at their cost. The policy includes the requirement for the owner to access to test the assembly annually as well. Kirk Brooks, the Ciry of Everett building official,will issue a public works permit, PW0805-035, that details the exact requirements of location and depth of the vauit, after researching options and requirements for construction. For your referen�;, attached is a copy of the building permit, some detailed plans of the water service to the project, and the �equirements for the double check detector in a vault assembly, a maximum of 70 feet from the main. We understand that time is of thie essence since the committed opening date for the project is in July 2008.
