For example, the cost "
of installing typical standard improvements including an asphalt patched strlp, a
storm drainage system, and curbs, gutters and sidewalks can he expected to crost
about $100 per front foot for the abutting property owners. The City
administering and financing the project c•il! increase those anticipated costs by y
about 309G. More extensive improvements where existing asohalt is overlayed or .
removed to accomodate a standard improvement such as the imprnvement ' r
proposed or. Casino Road is considerabiy more expensive. For example, the
Casino Road improvement is projected to !x cronstructed in l983 at a L983 cost
of $300 per front foot. Keeptng in mInd that the Casino Road improvement costs `-
inciude $100,OG0 in ojected legal fees (Sor roperty owners appealing the LID N F
to Superior Court); 10,000 for property acquisitIon and involve a street n `
Improvement of 70 feet of street width for 1/3 of the project and 44 of street r
width for the remaining 2/3.
