Thc property generally slopes in a southu�esterly direction tuward <br /> Silvcr Lake. The entire site has been significandy moc�ified with the northern portion now <br /> � nearly 100 percent impervious with parking lots and buildings. The soudiern portion of the <br /> site, with an older home and detached garage, is dominated by a small pond. Originally, an <br /> inlet of Silver Lake, the pond is now separated from the lake by SR-527 road fiil. A <br /> I hydrological connection via a 24-inch corrugated metal culvert does exist. It is anticipated <br /> that du- culvert acts to ebb and Flow with �arying water levels uf the pond and lake. A low, <br /> wet area extends to the east from the pond. Extensive regrading of the home site has <br /> Isig��ificaudy disturbed the soil, topography and vegetation to the shoreline of the pond. <br /> Vegetation <br /> IVegctation on the site is concentrated near the pond area in the southwest corner of the <br /> �roperty and is characterized by non-native lawn grasses and ornamental shrubs and trees <br /> I (including fruit trees and bamboo). Several large cedar, fir and willow trees are scattered <br /> � along the water's edge and in the low area ro the east of the pond. Undersrory consists of <br /> slough sedge, cattail and Douglas spiraea at the ponds edge, tending to soft rush, red osier <br /> � dogwood and salmon berry. <br /> Soils <br /> rvidence of significant surficial soil dismrbance on this site is presented by the Soil <br /> Conscrvation Service (SCS) in the Soil S��rvc�� oj S�iohanish Coruiq� Area, Wasl:ingtoi� (see �' <br /> Fryr�re 2 -- Sorls Mnp) which has dassified the site as Aldenvood-Urban land contplex, 2 to 8 <br /> percent slopes (map unit �).
