This Specificalion is <br /> � separa;e from thc lone-term Monitoring Program to be performed by the Consulting <br /> Biologist as described within this document. <br /> I 2 Contractor's Responsibility: During tne guarantee period, ihc Contractor shall not be <br /> � re�ponsible for replacing plants that have been destroyed or damaged by vandalism or <br /> accidents cause<t by vehides other than the Landscape Contrxctor. Should needed <br /> Ireplacement timings occur outside the normal planting season, replacement shall be <br /> delayed until the proper season. However, the Contractor shall b: rcquired to <br /> � immediately remove and dispose of dead plants, including all roots. Holes shall be <br /> backfilied with planting mix and finish graded until proper planting season occurs. <br /> Plants used for replacemcnt shall be of the same type and size originally planted and <br /> � they shall be planted as originally specificd. <br /> 3. Guarantee shall not include damage or loss of trees, plants, grass or ground covers <br /> I caused by fires, floods, freezing rains, lightning storms, or winds over 75 mi:es per <br /> hour, winter kill caused by extreme cold and severe winter conditions not rypica! of <br /> planting area; acts of vandalism or negligence on the part of the Owner. <br /> I <br /> � 4. All correc[ive work performed by the Contrac[or in remedying defective work during <br /> A�e guarantee period following Owner's acceptance of the project shall be subject ro <br /> f the same guarantee requirements of the original work for a period as specified, from <br /> � die date of completion on the corrective work. Neczssary corrective work shall be <br /> brought to the attention of the Llndscape Contractor and shall be perfornied prompdy. <br /> 5. A mortaliry iate of up to 20°I of newly installed plant material is acceptable under <br /> this Guarantce. Mortalitp wiil be determined by the Consulting Biologist, as part of <br /> ithe dirce year Monitoring Plan. Should mortality exceed 20°l0, plant replacements as <br /> specified by the Consulting Biologist will be planted to meet or exceed an 80% <br /> survival ratc. <br /> I <br /> �Iitigation Dlonitoring <br /> A thrce year monitoring plan will be instiwted inmiediately upon execution of the Final <br /> Wetland Mitigation Plan.
