These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions, or additions, may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 2006 International Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and adopted by the Ciry of Everett and the Washington State Energy Code, 2006 Edition, unless stated otherwise. In order for U�e processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide ihe 13uilding Division �ti�ith hvo.complete new sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. 1. 1'he plans should indicate ihc requirement for a fire suppression system in accordance with Chapter 16.76 of the Gverett Mur.icipal Code. 2. The plans should indicate the requirement for an automatic fire detection system in accordance with Chapter 16.76 of the E��erett Municipal Code. 3. �verett Ciry Ordinance requires the elevator to be sized to accommodate a 24 inch by 84 inch ambulance stretcher in the horizontal, open position and identified by the internatic�nal symbol for emergency medical services (Star of Life). The symbol shall not be less than 3 inches high and shall be placed inside on both sides of the hoist way door Crame. 4. The elevator machine room is required to be enclosed by a one-hour fire barrier. The door is also required to be one-hour IBC 3006.4. 5. II3C 1020.1 requires both stairnays to be protected by exit enclosures. 6. 1BC 1024.1 requires that at least 50 percent of exits discharge direcdy to the outside of the building. Please note that Section lOQ2 defines "floor area gross" as "useable area under thc horizontal projection of the roof or floor above."
