An approved automatic suppression system shall be provided as required by City Ordinance No. 1902- , <br /> 92, Chapter 16.76, of the Everett Municipal Code. The system must include a mechanical water gong <br /> bell. Plans for ary such system shall be submitted to the Buiiding Department for examination and <br /> approvai. Such plans shall include plans for the underground mains that will suppiy the sprinkler <br /> system. Tha type of sprinkler io be installed will be determined by the Ru�lding Official. It may be an <br /> NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, or NFPA 13D system depending upon several factors. Sprinkler insta!lation shall <br /> not begin without an approved and stamped set of plans from the Building Department. The Fire <br />� Department wi:l also review the plans and shall field insper,t the installation based only on approved <br /> plans tha!must be on site. Changes to plans must be appraved by both the Building and Fire <br /> Departments. <br /> 48. Aboveground sprinkler piping shall be hydrostatically tested as established in NFPA Standard 13. <br /> Underground piping shall be hydrostatically tested and flushed as established in NFPA Standard 24 for <br /> private fire mains. (Below-ground piping must be installed by Washington State Patrol Licensed <br /> Under�round S��rinkier line certified "U" installers. For further information, contact the State Fire <br /> Marshal's Office at (3G0) 570-3134 or contact the Everett fire Department at (425) 257-8125.) Contractors' materials and test certificates shall be submitted to the Everett Fire Department prior to <br /> issuance of any Certificates of Occupancy. See Section 905.3.1 of the 2003 International Fire Code <br /> to determine the requirement for standpipes. <br /> 51. Construction and demolition of buildings shail be in compliance wiih the provisions of the 2003 <br /> International Fire Code, Chapler 14. <br /> 52. Permits are required from the Fire Departmeni for removal and installation of underground fuel tanks. <br /> 53. Abandoned tanks shall be pumped out and the fue! properly disposed of prior to removal. No product or <br /> rinse water may be disposed of in such a way that it could enter the storm drains system. <br /> 54.All fire alarm conirol panels (FACP) and sprinkler vaives shali be in heated rooms or closets with <br /> standard man door access. Locations shall be approved by th? Fire Marshal's Office. <br />� 55. if the man door access is not directly from the outside, then a PIV is required.
