Access - The international Fire Code requires that all new structures shall provide Fire <br /> Department access roads to within 150 feet of all portions of the ground floor. Fire <br /> Department access roads (Fire Lanes) shall provide a minimum of 20 feet in width of <br /> unobstructed, paved driving surface with a minimum clear height of 13'6". Inside turn <br /> radii must be 35 feet. Slope approach and departure angles must not exceed 10 <br /> degrees. Fire lane grade must not exceed 15 percent. Fire lane construction <br /> must comply with AASHTO H30 load capacity. Fire Lanes ���ill be r�osted and <br /> maintained as required by the Fire Department. <br /> 2. Aerial fire apparatus access on all four sides shall meet the requirements of Section <br /> D105 of the 2003 International Fire Code. The unobstructed width of the access shall <br /> be a minimum of 24 feet. <br /> 3. A Knox Box is required. <br /> 4. Fire lanes shall be provided as required in Everett Municipal Code 46.44. Fire lanes <br /> shall be identified by red cui�s w�ith white stenciling stating "NO PARKING - FIRE <br /> LANE" and vertical signs stating "NO PARKING - FIRE LANE - TOVV AWAY ZONE." I <br /> Location shall be approved by the Fire Marshal. <br /> 5. Securitv Fence - Any security fence erected around the construction site shall be <br /> located so as to not obstruct any existing hydrant, fire protection equipment, or Fire <br /> Department access.
