SUWEYING <br />Adk <br />I� <br />o u <br />1 ? <br />SL j <br />P <br />��'�'c tnolNf W October 8, 2008 <br />1IAND DELIVERY <br />g og/o -C) 0 <br />Rick Robinson <br />City of Everett <br />Fire Marshal's Office <br />2811 Oakes Avenue <br />Everett WA 98201 <br />RE: Submittal of Application — Fire Permit <br />Fred Meyer Fueling Facility <br />12906 19th Avenue SE (Bothell -Everett Highway) <br />Everett WA 98208-6687 <br />Fred Meyer Store No. 458 / Our Jolt No. 13138 <br />Mr. Robinson: <br />On behalf of our clients, Fred Meyer Stores, Inc. and The Kroger Company, we are submitting the <br />necessary applications and supporting documentation for the issuance of necessary Fire Department <br />permits in connection with the development of a Fred Meyer retail fueling facility at the location <br />referenced above. <br />Proiect Overview: The scope of our proposal calls for the construction of a Fred Meyer retail fueling <br />facility featuring a 24- by 144-foot (3,456 square feet) canopy with an 8- by 14-foot (112 square feet) <br />cashier's kiosk and five multi -product dispensers (10 fueling'aositions). The project will also include the <br />installation of two (2) underground storage tanks (US -Ps); ne 20,000-gallon tank for regular unleaded <br />fuel and one 18,000-gallon dual tank (10,000/8,000), containing diesel and supreme unleaded fuels. <br />Other associated site improvements will include asphalt paving, signage, lot lights and utility connections; <br />the project's existing landscaping will tot be affected by the proposed fuel facility. The facility will be of <br />Type 11-B Construction and Group M Occupancy according to the 2006 International Building Code <br />(IBC). <br />Operating flours: The facility will be capable of 24-hour operation; seven days a week. During the <br />principal store flours there will be an employee at the fueling facility's kiosk, who will be responsible for <br />slaking cash and credit card transactions and monitoring the fueling activities. During other hours, the <br />facility will be capable of operation as an unattended facility; remotely supervised via the security <br />cameras.
