Geotechnical Engineering Report hwe 27, 2008
Fred,Weyer Fueling Facility Project 92008-217
Everett 111i1 -. -
APPENDIX A
FIELD rXPLORATION AND LABORATORI''ITSTING
Fred Meyer Fueling Facility
12906 Bothell -Everett I lighwav
Everett, WA 98208
On .tune 19, 2008, we performed our field exploration using it truck -mounted drill rig. We
explored subsurface soil conditions at the site by advancing two test borings to a maximum
depth of 19.0 feet below existing grade. The test boring locations are shown on Figure 2.
The lest boring locations were approximately determined by measurements from existing
property lines and paved roads. The rest Boring Lags are presented on Figures A-2 and A-
3.
A geologist/engineer from out office conducted the field exploration and classified the soil
conditions encountered, maintained it log of each test boring, obtained representative soil
samples, and observed pertinent site features. All soil samples were visually classified in
accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System (I1SCS) described on Figure A-1.
Representative soil samples obtained trom the test borings were placed in closed
containers and taken to our laboratory for further examination and testing. The moisture
content of typical sample was measured and is reported on the Test Boring Logs.
I'lle Riley Group, Inc.
