February 5, 1979 <br />The regular meeti:.g of the Everett Board of Adjustment was held at <br />7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of Roosevelt School, located at Madison <br />and Highland, Everett, WA (the temporary location of City Hall). <br />Mr. Russell presided; Mr. Kristiansen, Mr. Wilson, and Mr. Zook <br />were present. Mr Black was absent. <br />Mr. Russell introduced Mr. Wilson and Mr. Zook, the two new <br />members to the Board. :"heir terms will expire January 1, 1985. <br />Mr. Russell read a request from Mr. Peterson who asked for a 120 day. <br />extension of his variance which was granted March 6, 1978. He was <br />granted the 120 day (�xtens:i_on which will expire July 6, 1979. <br />A thirtv (30) day extension until March 5, 1979 was also granted <br />to ,oldie Erickson whose property is located at 1801 Wall Street. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Northshore Construction <br />Inc, 6308 - 212 SW Lynnwood, WA 98036 for a variance from Section <br />19.22.050 of the Everett Municipal Code, Minimum Lot Size, for <br />permission to construct a multiple dwelling do a lot with 4,000 square <br />feet of land area rather than the code requirement of 5,000 square <br />feet of land area. <br />Legal Description: Lots 9 & 10 Block 741 Everett Land Company's <br />first addition <br />Location: 32nd & Lombard, Northeast corner (approximately 3129 <br />Lombard) <br />Zoning: R-5 Core Area Residential <br />Mr. Scott represented Northshore Construction Inc. and made the <br />statement they would be providing two additional off street parking <br />spaces above the required amount. <br />There was some opposition to the granting of the variance and the <br />reasons were as follows: <br />1. Parking in this area is a problem and the proposed fourplex <br />would increase that problem. <br />2. It is a sub standard lot and this proposal would be <br />cutting down the land area too much. <br />There was a letter submitted to the chairman statinq disapproval of <br />the proposal and a petition with fourteen (14) signatures, by the <br />surrounding neighbors, opposing the request.was also submitted to <br />the Chairman. <br />There was no further comment from the audience. <br />After visually viewing the subject property and considering all the <br />Facts and testimony it was moved by Mr. Kristiansen, seconded by Mr. <br />Zook and unanimously carried to deny the anplicants request as it <br />(1) <br />r, <br />
