If you have any questions about
the parking lot standards or sewer, water and drainage plans, you ray ca11
Kirk Brooks of the PubZic Works Department at 259-8fi00.
The number oE of£-street park3ng spaces required is three plus one for each
400 square Eeet of office space for a total of six spaces for the 960 square
foot offir_e structure. Paving is required, two inches of asphalt of four
inches of crushed roc!c. In addition it is required that the 'entire 3riveway
be paved to this same standard.
On August 12, 1987, the Everett City Council adopted comprehensive plan
policies (copy enclosed) and a land use map pertaining to commercial land use
for the entire City. The subject area was designated HighWay Commercial and
policies were adonted relating to aestlietics, traffic and limitations on
extension o£ the designati.on.
1'"e policy relating to aesthetics remarks on the unsatisfactory appearance of
esisting highway commercial development and the experiences of other cities
which have shown a direct correlation between visual and aesthetic enhancement
of commercial areas and increase in business activity and property values.
In addition, the 19th Avenue S. E. Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 1983 and
also sets policies for the subject area (copy enclos,d).
