'LANK/NO AND
O/JRl/y 11MITY DEI/ELOPAIENT
MEMORANDUM
TO: Allen Locke
FROM: Dennis Beich ZNT>
MD UNTE 0
OCT 17 1991
... CITY 0 EVERETT
public Works Dept.
DATE: October 16, 1991
RE: Wetland Alteration in the vicinity of 100th Street & 19th Avenue N.E.
On October loth, I conducted an on -site review of property located in the
vicinity of 100th Street and 19th Avenue N.E. In a previous project
application (refer to SEPA #90-71), two wetlands were identified on the
subject parcels.
My field review indicated that both of the wetlands and portions of their
buffers were impacted since my field investigation conducted in December of
1990. The northern wetland has been ditched, and the hydrology of the wetland
has been significantly altered. The southern buffers of this wetland have had
the trees and understory removed. The southern wetland has been logged and
portions of the wetland have been filled.
I request that appropriate action be taken by the City to rectify these
illegal alterations. These actions should include a restoration plan that at
a minimum address the following:
1. Restoration of the northern wetlands
2. Hydrology restoration of the disturbed portion of the northern
wetlands buffer
3. Removal of fill and restoration of the southern wetland
4. Revegetation of the disturbed portion of the southern wetland
buffers
1141dm
Location: 2731 Wetmore Avenue
CITY OF EVERETT • 3002 Wetmore • Everett, WA 98201 • (206) 259-8731 • Fax (206) 259-8742 • Scan: 723-8731
