"Leller. Sliortly after <br />that, the heirs of tlie estate cleaned up the deUris and boarded up tl�e housc. <br />- After recciving a citizens complaint on August 30, 1973 we inspected the site <br />and found the liouse open, Chc intcrior was Uad7.y damaged and thcre was evidence <br />tliat vandals �aerr at worlc. Tl�e ocaners attorney, Pir. Gd Ivoval: was contaeted and <br />he agreed to secure the strucLure. He also claimed thaC the house would go <br />to the Vete:ans Administration and would proUaUly be demolished within GO days. <br />On NovemUer 15, 1973 we inspected the sil-e and found no change. At l-hat time we <br />contacted pir. Novak who stated �hat the property will Ue transfered to VA wi�liin <br />', three weeks. <br />r <br />An inspection on DecemUer 3, 1973 revealed titat no changes have becn nade. p1r. <br />Lupicn, a VA representative caas conlacted. lic stated tl�at the VA is in the <br />process of appraising thc property and should Uegin demolil•ion or repair <br />iaiCltin 45 days. <br />tde received complaints from two ci�izens on January 2, 1974. One was concerned <br />aUout their children and the oL-her, aUout anotl�er fire. <br />On January 3, 1974, in the early morning, there was a fire on tlie premises �hac <br />completcly involveci tl�e rcar section of the building and presenCed a consideraolc <br />clanger to botli the fire fighters and the surrounding propertics. <br />A notice ot '"_'nsafe ISuilding" was issued co Che VA wiL-h a copy to Sherwood and <br />Roberts. This nol-ice was delivered to VA on .lanuary 4, 1974 by personal service <br />and mailed to Sherwood and RoUcrts Uy Certified Mai1, a copy was also senC to �ir. <br />Novalc. <br />A discussion witl� Mr. Ikevicl� of the Veterans Administratimi revcaled that they <br />are unS�appy with the i.nsurance company's offer and l�e had no idea when it would <br />be settled, hlr.
