<br />B. During performance of the Work.
<br />1. Contractor shall not discriminate against any
<br />employee or ap?Gcant for employment because
<br />of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age,
<br />marital status, or the presence of any physical,
<br />sensory, or mental disability, Vietnam era
<br />veteran status, or disabled veteran status, nor
<br />commit any other unfair practices as defined in
<br />RCW 49.60.
<br />'_. Contractor shall, in all solicitations or
<br />advertisements for employees placed by or for
<br />it, state that all qualified applicants will be
<br />considered for employment, without regard to
<br />race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age,
<br />marital status, or the presence of any physical,
<br />sensory, or mental disability.
<br />3. Contractor shall send to each labor union,
<br />employment agency, or representative of
<br />workers with which it has a collective
<br />bargaining agreement or other contract or
<br />understanding, a notice advising the labor
<br />union, employment agency, or workers'
<br />representative of Contractor's obligations
<br />according to the Contract Documents and
<br />RCW 49.60.
<br />4. Contractor shall permit access to its books,
<br />records, and accounts, and to its premises by
<br />Owner, and by the Washington state Human
<br />Rights Commission, for the purpose of
<br />investigation to ascertain compliance with this
<br />section of the Contract Documents.
<br />5. Contractor shall include the provisions of this
<br />section in every Subcontract.
<br />5.07 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
<br />A. Contractor shall be responsible for initiating,
<br />maintaining, and supervising all safety precautions
<br />and programs in connection with the performance
<br />of the Work.

<br />B. In carrying out its responsibilities according to the
<br />Contract Documents, Contractor shall protect the
<br />lives and health of employees performing the
<br />Work and other persons who may be affeeted by
<br />the Work; prevent damage to materials, supplies,
<br />and equipment whether on site or stored off -site;
<br />and prevent damage to other property at the site
<br />or adjacent thereto. Contractor shall comply with
<br />all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations,
<br />and orders of any public body having jurisdiction
<br />for the safety of persons or property, or to protect
<br />them from damage, injury, or lass; shall erect and
<br />maintain all necessary safeguards for such safety
<br />and protection; and shall notify owners of adjacent
<br />property and utilities when prosecution of the
<br />Work may affect them.
<br />C. Contractor shall maintain an aceurata record of
<br />exposure data on all incidents relating to the Work
<br />resulting in death traumatic injury, occupational
<br />disease, or damage to property, materials,
<br />supplies, or equipment. Contractor shall
<br />immediately report any such incident to Owner.
<br />Owner shall, at all times, have a right of access to
<br />all records of exposure.
<br />D. Contractor shall provide all persons working on
<br />the Project site with information and training on
<br />hazardous chemicals in their work at the time of
<br />their initial assignment, and whenever a new
<br />hazard is introduced into their work area.
<br />1. Information. At a minimum, Contractor shall
<br />inform persons working on the Project site of
<br />a. The requirements of chapter 296-62 WAC,
<br />General Occupational Health Standards;
<br />b. Any operations in their worx area where
<br />hazardous chemicals are present; and
<br />c. The location and availability of written
<br />hazard communication prog•.ants, including
<br />the required list(s) of hazardous chemicals
<br />and material safety data sheets required by
<br />chapter 296.62 WAC.
