Apparently the nai!s were c�verdriven through the outer <br />laminate, reducing the ca�acity by 1/3, If the 8d nai{ spacing is reduced to <br />3-inches nn center, there is adequate capacity in tha remaining plywood <br />veneers to withstand the shear load. <br />An alternate shearwall holdown for the front walls, replacing the Simpsor+ <br />H�SA is a Simpson PHDB-SDS3.
