The <br />International Building Code and the International Residential Code state that all permits expire it' <br />the work authorized by the permits is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after the <br />work is commenced. Work under this permit will no longer be authorized unless you: <br />1) Demonstrate continuing progress by requesting inspection of work that has occurred since your <br />last inspection, or <br />2) Request final inspections of the work that is completed, or <br />3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension, detailing justifiable cause for extension. <br />Please respond within 10 days. After that time your permit file will be sent to our Records <br />Department for microfilming without documentation of final approval. These records are <br />available to prospective buyers and lending institutions. If you wish to resume work in the future, <br />a new permit must be obtained.
