SEA FHA 477-B <br />2/70 AN INVITATION TO BID <br />FHA NO: <br />NAME: _ <br />TO PERFORM THE LABOR AND FURNISH THE MATERIALS REQUIRED TO REHABILITATE A RESIDENCE <br />LOCATED AT ----- <br />AS OUTLINED IN ACCOMPANYING SPECIFICATIONS, FOR: <br />FEDERAL HOUSING ADMINISTRATION <br />SEATTLE, 'WA.SHINGTON <br />GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS & SPECIFICATIONS <br />SCOPE: It is the purpose and the intent of the specifications attached hereto to <br />Provide for the renovation of FHA insured or owned properties by repairing, restoring <br />and painting to bring the property to a condition equal to, or superior to other pro- <br />perties in the neighborhood, and ready for immediate occupancy. <br />BID: Each bidder shall visit the site and thoroughly acquaint himself with conditions <br />incidental to completion of the work specified. Entry to the property may be arranged by <br />contacting the FHA or <br />COIVL.IANCE WITH CODES: The contractor shall comply with all State, County & City codes and <br />laws in force at the time of award and applicable to such work and shall obtain at his own <br />jxpense such permits, licenses or certificates required in the performance of the work. The <br />contractor shall maintain such insurance as will protect him and save FHA harmless from <br />claims under Workmen's Compensation Acts and from claims of damages because of bodily injury, <br />including death, which may arise from or during operations of this work. Certificates of <br />such insurance shall be filed with F11A if so required. <br />"IUARANTEE: The contractor shall guarantee all work performed under this contract against <br />iefects of material and workmanship for a period of one year after date of final acceptance <br />if the work and shall remedy or repair, without delay, at his own expense, any defects, <br />3rovided that in the judgment of FHA, the same are not the result of depreciation, misuse, <br />.)r abuse. This guarantee shall,extend to the successor or successors in title should the <br />aroperty be sold during the guarantee period. <br />%CCEPTANCE, SUPFItVISION AND PAYMENT: Acceptance of this bid by FHA will be indicated by <br />Issuance to the bidder of Purchase Orderr FliA Form 2542, which will constitute an order to <br />)roceed with work outlined. All work is to be performed under the supervision of author- <br />Lzed representative of FHA and shall be subject to his inspection at any time. Payment to <br />:lie contractor shall be upon approval of a final inspection by an authorized representative <br />)f the FIIA according to procedures required by outstanding regulations. <br />plE UNDERSIGNED hereby agrees to furnish all labor and material and complete the specified <br />cpairs and/or replacements within days from date of notification of acceptance <br />,f tl:e bid.
